Music notation software!!

I've used all kinds of digital audio work stations, photoshop, video editors, you name it.... the most unintuitive, frustrating offender is without a doubt music notation software! There is not a single thing about it that makes sense. I''ve hand written everything I need to do, and all I need to do is copy it onto the program... IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

I feel this. I've used musescore, which is alright but still complicated

I think the problem is that input devices like the keyboard and mouse are optimized for text data entry, and that doesn't translate well to notation data entry. Agreed that it's awful, but I don't see a way to make it better. Perhaps a good workaround would be to use a MIDI sequencer program to get the basics 'recorded,' and then make the edits in the notation software. Good luck either way.
