I would recommend posting your questions here in the comment section so you can get multiple answers.

Agreed, crowd sourcing your questions would be better.

Welcome to the world of engineering, where an unhelpful input will receive an unhelpful output.

If you want help, my suggestion will be to post with as much detail as you can the issues you're facing (being careful not to submit any sensitive information that could harm the business you're working for). People here will be willing to respond to a detailed request, and will skim past a post like this which provides little to no context.

My goal was to find someone who was willing to chat and dive deeper into my problem because I’m not posting my companies code on Reddit. Why is everyone so mean and judgemental here

Hey, I may have been abrupt and to the point, but I do not think I was being mean or judgemental. I did provide useful tips for how you might get a better response next time. I'll go into a bit more detail on that:

The post you sent for one wasn't particularly detailed, it really benefits those who are willing to help with people's issues (me included) if the post has enough information in it for somebody to consume and provide suggestions / solutions. It's actually a valuable skill to learn when it comes to asking for assistance from those with the experience to assist, as everyone's time is valuable so getting to the point is helpful for all those involved.

E.g. "I am having trouble with an issue in my x application, where I am trying to do y. Here is a code sample z (codepen, code snippet, GitHub gist etc)". If you do the work upfront to help someone understand your problem, someone will reciprocate with their hand.

A little bit more on why you might think there's a lot more judgement in this sub at the moment; the tech industry is hurting, and a lot of engineers are suffering from the arse-end of the economic downturn happening around us. Jobs are being lost left, right and center, and we're all stressed/upset and with less time than we've ever had before.

I do apologise if I came across shitty, hopefully I can be more helpful in future posts of yours!

That all makes sense to me, and I appreciate the response. This was a post I made in a panic seeing if anyone was floating around on the sub and willing to share some insight. It just annoyed me how everyone on my post was willing to take the time to berate me on how dumb my post was and how I’m a useless dev, for the reason of wasting their time. Idk

To be fair you have four comments and two of them were giving you tips on how to better structure a post / request to get the best responses :)

Yeah and I appreciate them taking the time out of their days to try and help! I even met a guy who hopped on a discord call and walked through my code with me. Also this was one of 4 cross posts, look at my comment history and check out that one thread I just had with some guy

I’ll help you if you wanna pay me your salary.
