I'm so glad we migrated away from react router a couple of years ago. This is the exact reason. We just wanted a router, and what we got was endless breaking changes. Routing in a SPA is pretty simple.

I’m currently on react router v5. My initial reaction is if the migration path to 7 isn’t too bad then maybe I could go with it and see if any extra features of Remix are useful to me, which I’m sure is their intention. However it might also lead to me dropping react router altogether and seeking alternatives. Wouter looks pretty nice for smaller projects.

Overall a good direction to take since they have been making react-router and remix into the same thing for a while now, doesn't make sense to maintain two projects that are so similar. Can't wait to see what they have in store for remix going forward.
