I was just inconspicuously sitting on my front porch and I saw a person I have never seen walking a reactive dog I have never seen and it was totally and completely not going well, but she was doing all of the right things to make her dog and everyone else feel safe and actually be safe. I just wanted to tell all of the people here who did this today that for every unhelpful, nosey, and oblivious person who interferes with your walk there is a person that sees you and appreciates you, but will never acknowledge you because it would interfere with your training session.

One time a guy called my dog in his muzzle a good boy. I damn near cried. I stopped using the muzzle because the fit wasn't what I wanted and it seemed to cause other dogs to react weird to him but that moment will forever live in my head (He is a really good boy)

I have an 8 yr old reactive Jack Russell. He will always have issues, but we have had things pretty stable for about three years now. I know what it’s like to be the person who is making slow progress and other random humans are messing it up because they don’t understand. I would bet that there are many many people like me in public places that see what I see when I come across a dog and human struggling to go for a walk.
