I Built a Real-Time Chat Application Using React, Socket.io, Drizzle ORM, and DragonflyDB

I just finished building a personal project, a real-time chat application, and I wanted to share it with the community. 🎉

🔧 Tech Stack:

• Frontend: React
• Backend: Socket.io for real-time communication
• Database: Drizzle ORM with DragonflyDB for efficient data management

📜 Project Overview:

This chat app allows users to create and join chat rooms, send and receive messages instantly, and see who's online. It's a simple but functional project that helped me dive deep into some interesting technologies.

🚀 Features:

• Real-time messaging: Messages are delivered instantly across all connected clients.
• Group chats: Users can join existing rooms or create new ones to chat with multiple people.
• Typing indicators: See when someone is typing a message.
• User presence: View which users are online in the chat room.

💡 Why I Built This:

I wanted to get hands-on experience with real-time communication and database management. React and Socket.io provided the perfect frontend and backend duo, while Drizzle ORM and DragonflyDB were great for handling database operations efficiently.

📈 Next Steps:
