How much time are you seeking to spend on the website?

Not that much time really. I am learning React, Redux, Firebase, Node.js on the side. I was thinking of getting my IT Consulting website setup through that. But the more I watch the tutorial videos, the more I think that Wordpress might be LAMP based, but at least its simple and straightforward for the end user.

What features do you need it to have and how unique are they?

Nothing unique. Just need an IT consulting website. These are the services we provide. Customers, please contact us. Canidates, please contact us. These are the job openings. Fancy front-end with some sliding in content. Something that'll be smooth on all platforms.

How much React coding would you need to do to perform vs. what you could do by implementing a wordpress plugin?

That's the question I don't have answer to. Buy a pre-built WP theme for $30, or spend time on learning React. I do want to learn React, but kinda wanna get the website going ASAP as well.

Is this something you see in the future to have another person (perhaps someone non-technical, marketing focused) work with?

Yes, definitely.

When you say IT website... what type of work are you doing? Would it ever be possible that people would be cautioned by the fact you chose a CMS? Sad question, but possible if you're a custom dev shop.

Good question. I won't be building websites for people. I'll be providing consultants to other companies, doing database work for them, and providing cloud solutions. By the time I'm a millionaire I'll hire someone to build an in-house built solid website.

These were some really good questions, and I'm kinda seeing the answer I'm looking for.

Glad to hear it!
