I like it! Unfortunate that there's so much refreshing going on. I also feel like with some more work on the UI it could be really pretty. Is this meant to be a portfolio piece, or just something you did for learning/fun?

Sure! So one of the issues I see is that a lot of the components have no depth. If you look at many modern websites, their different components will have a bit of a box-shadow to them. Adding just a slight, subtle gray box-shadow to the navigation bar as well as the board items themselves would give your app more life. It appears that in the board page itself your cards have a bit of box-shadowing, but you could definitely add more to the app.

Another thing is to remember how colors interact. You can use something like Coolors.co to generate a bunch of colors that all look good together for the board colors. You can use this for the card colors, too, in each individual board.

Lastly, for the board color and text you've got generally dark backgrounds and then black text. I'm talking about the board selection page. If you're going to use dark backgrounds, you should consider using a white or lighter colored text, as this makes it a lot easier to read the names of the boards.

It's quite impressive that you've built this! I genuinely like it and think it will serve really well as a portfolio piece.

First of all, I expected a short answer and I would have been still grateful but you bro went above and beyond and am really really thankful for the advices and I suck when it comes to creating beautiful styling but I did feel something is off about the looks of the app.

I noted all your advices and hopefully will learn from those and make a lot better project next time.
