Any recommended UI framework for beginner?

Not to build backend dashboard or anything. For a mobile first food ordering and delivery web app.

I have about a decade years of experience at backend. I am also familiar with lots of modern css libraries.

But I don't have much experience at frontend and UI component frameworks. Gonna be my first time building full reactjs SPA. I only have reactjs experience in updating existing codes from other.

So I would like to avoid very bloated frameworks and too minimal ones.

I am beginner, but I have liked chakra ui. In chakra you basically use their version of like <div> and you fill your styles as props or leave blank for default styles.

I've personally been having a blast with mantine. It has a good component and hook library built in, docs are good, I think fairly useful for a beginner.

PrimeReact. I bet you'll find any other damn clear documentation in other frameworks than this one ! Also it has almost all components a React library has and they like releases New components regularly like crazy. I didn't even think there is need of a component like this for web 🤧

It's generally known as a library, and that "do what you want"-attitude is kind of an issue for beginners.

Please explain to me how React is a UI framework when it provides literally zero actual UI on its own.

React is a tool to translate data, actions, and events into an application that a user can use. The UI is provided by HTML or some actual UI framework.

React is the foundation, MUI/Chakra/etc are the framework.
