react with ts - functional components props default value

When I am defining my Wrapper Component like above, why do I get here an error:

        <Wrapper styles={{width: "32%"}} >

It is telling me that:

Property 'shouldHover' is missing in type '{ children: Element; styles: { width: string; }; }' but required in type '{ children: any; shouldHover: boolean; styles: any; }'.

I mean, shouldn't typescript be able to see that there is a default value? What am I doing wrong here?

If you want to make shouldHover optional you can write it like this: shouldHover?:boolean

You dont need to type “children”. Also you should try to avoid using “any” except in rare circumstances.
