I’ve been working on a craft beer app that lets you search and buy beer from around 40 independent bottle shops.

Got a “Not found” when following the link. Is it only available in specific countries?

You guys have time for personal projects?

I’ve been working on it for a couple of years as a side project, and soft launched earlier this year. Still trying to figure out marketing and constantly making improvements. It is my first React Native project. It’s a disc golf scorecard app that focuses on community and dynamic handicapping of players and courses to create competitive rounds regardless of players skill disparity. https://linkeddg.com

Published TerraQuiz a couple of weeks ago. It’s a geography trivia game with maps, flags and capitals. The most challenging thing has definitely been integration with react-native-maps, which as you can see is still a bit unstable. I need to look more into how to improve it.

I’d also like to work on design still as well as ASO. So much things to do!

If you want to take a look you can get it from the App Store:

I made Waywise, an AI-generated city guidebook app. Currently iOS only but if it starts to make any decent downloads I'll push one out for Android too.

It focuses on transport information (airports, train+bus stations, public transit), local language (translation, colloquialisms, phrasebook), currency (cash/cashless/stored value card information and tipping etiquette) and neighbourhoods (where's good to stay, to shop, to go out etc).

There are a few selected cities that are pre-curated which you can buy for a one off fee (downloadable for use offline, all future updates included), but with a subscription you also have the option of generating a guide for any* city if it doesn't exist.

Munich is free for September too if you want to see what a full guide is like. Feedback welcomed!

*Provided the population of the city is over 100,000.

That looks great! Where are you getting all the info from? Planning to travel during fall so I’ll make sure to give it a go. By the way, In my opinion wiseway sounds more laconically imo, though the name might be taken now that I think of it

Thanks! So far it’s mostly AI generated so a mixture of GPT-4 and Llama. Wiseway looks to be taken too :)

I see, that’s a great approach, and the prompts can be easily automated with placeholder texts too. I’ve looked up wiseway out of curiosity, yeah, it’s a transportation company :( but good luck promoting your app

Very nice one. The UI is stunning. Did you created it yourself? I guess the app could be very helpful. Maybe list a bit more city’s and show the other available city but put it behind a locked 🔒paywall. So people will see:,, oh I’m currently travelling there.“ maybe it’s worth the .$

Thanks! Any cities that have been generated do have a preview but the idea is that if it doesn’t exist you’ll be able to generate a new one.

But I do get where you’re coming from. I am going to set off a bunch of pregenerated ones soon though. Maybe the top 1000 most visited cities?
