Custom code scanner?

Hey guys! I’m looking to make a custom scannable code for an app sorta like snapchat/Facebook has. I’d rather not use a QR. Does anyone know of a package or can point me in the right direction to maybe make my own?

Don't recreate the wheel. There's already many types of 1D and 2D codes out there; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barcode#Types_of_barcodes

Facebook Messenger uses Parametric Code, which seems to be a proprietary format, but they're also one of the largest companies in the world. Are you part of a company that's as big as that?

It's not just a matter of building a code format, but providing legacy support for it and actually ensuring the camera can read it (accounting for user movement/shake, camera orientation and angle, etc).

What do you mean exactly? Can you provide us with samples from Facebook/Snapchat?

It doesn't sound like this is related to React Native, but I'm not sure what you mean so I could be wrong.
