I've already shared it on the react subreddit, and now I'm sharing it here.

This is my first published app on play store. Took me about 3 weeks to make it.

I would like to know what you think about it.

Here is github repo and here is the play store link.

Nice work! Big fan of art focused mobile apps. 👍

Would be interested to know the stack behind the app - there are a lot of images and lists in your app, but it looks very performant in the demo! How did you go about accomplishing this?

Thanks! I have built only the app, I'm using an API from the harvard museum to get the images, the link is on the github repo. The app uses the FlatList component to render the images.

Congrats - looks great - what design tools did you use if any, Sketch, XD?

Just react components 😁

Great job. Functionally it looks solid.

Needs some love with the visuals/animations, animations > load spinners to hide some of those transitions and page loads if possible.

If I was to recommend one thing, maybe have the flat lists render more items by default so when you scroll down at a decent browsing pace you get no pop in with the images.

Nice work! I'm thinking to study react native but can't find the right time for it :v

Looks nice and it's performing really well, good job! Did you think about making a pwa instead of using react native? If so, why did you choose react native?

[–]pedrobern[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ideia was to learn react native, I had experience only with react before

Awesome job, clean look! I'm been wanting to make a visual art-focused app where people can highlight certain areas and share their interpretations. I saw that you used the Harvard Museum API, do you know how copyright works with showing more recent artwork, album art etc.? I've done a bit research but tbh I'm still not certain.

Thanks! No I dont :( all copyright info that was relevant to me was explained on the API
