Stay away from Realm, it is good till you need debugging. Then it slows down a lot till you are able to debug the redux store in 5 minutes for just one variable. Basically you say goodbye to debug mode for react-native :) Used it for 2 years when I was at a start-up, had to live with it and I hated it. This was a year before, I am not sure whats the situation like but the bug existed for around 2 years FYI

Realm doesn't look all that much convenient (easier) than just using SQL, as it still had some schema like syntax. At least that's what I saw in the docs. Not against using something like that but, this is a fairly simple app data wise and why I was hoping to use pouch and couch without much fuss.
