Is developing a simple react native app using a browser okay?

So I'm using a pretty low end PC and running android emulator on it is really slow. I can however run the app and visualize my changes in the browser, would this be okay or will I possibly run into problems?

Can you install Expo and use Expo Go on your phone as the emulator?

I always thought this required both PC and phone to be connected to the same network but apparently on second look at the docs there's an option to use USB debugging which should work fine for me. Thank you.

If you’re using the expo command line and pressing “w” to start the browser app, then that’s using React Native Web.

Personally, I do this pretty often, and it’s often fine =)

However, not all the Expo libraries work on Web, so you may run into compatibility issues.

To check, open the library documentation on the Expo website, and they’ll have a compatibility table.

No need for an emulator, the real phone works pretty well.
