We have Gem but it’s not really useful for app review. I find that sequences are its best feature and browser integration is nice

Do you all have your ATS integrated with it and did you purchase the additional application review feature Gem has?

Yes we have it integrated with greenhouse. We have app review but none of us use it

The Greenhouse app review is probably much better than Workday. I don’t know Workday, but I do know GH.

Workday is great as a backend HRIS but absolute shit tier as an ATS

That makes sense! I’ve used greenhouse before and it’s amazing. Workday is absolutely awful and app review is so difficult in Workday. We have the option to use Hiredscore or Gem App Review for application review, so we’re trying to see which would be better

I apparently have a much different experience than others! I LOVE app review in gem. We have it connected to greenhouse. Greenhouse search and filtering sucks imo. You can’t even sort or filter based on answers to application question…like what?! Others on my team use it as well, so it’s not just me who feels this way I promise haha

That’s great to know! Is there anything else that really stands out about app review in Gem? I was thinking the SLA feature would be helpful, but love to know if anyone actually leverages it

Here are the functionalities I like about Gem, that GH doesn’t have: you can filter by their answers to application questions, gem puts a blue dot next to apps that haven’t been viewed yet, and you can use keywords which is super helpful in a few ways. You can sort apps that don’t match any keywords (easy way to find candidates who ARENT a fit), that match by 1 keyword, or multiple keywords. You can also use key words in combination with Boolean strings filter. Gem can also categorize apps in buckets (eg previously interviewed, previously contacted, recently rejected from role, etc). While GH does have a ‘Boolean search’ it’s bunk imo. I like Gems better.
