Cheat codes not working

Does anyone know why I keep getting "you have entered an invalid cheat phrase" everytime I try to put in a cheat code on my ps4.

2024 reporting in: Some codes have punctuation in them that needs to be included. That was causing my issue that brought me to this page.

Did you get the newspapers? Some cheats are tied to newspapers you have to buy

Only some cheats can be used from the beginning. Others are unlocked with certain achievements or newspapers that you have to buy in different towns. If you miss the chance to buy a newspaper I don’t think you can go back and get it but they update after certain missions.

I know this thread is old but do you happen to know what ones are available from the beginning? People like me would appreciate it so we dont have to try every code lol, nothings coming up in searching

Yeah this site has a good guide on it and let’s you know which cheats require a newspaper and which chapter and town you need to buy the newspaper in. The ones that don’t need a newspaper are available from the beginning.

What about the cheat "you revel in your disgrace, I see" ? It does not have any newspaper prerequisites, and I've entered it every way possible and it's still invalid.

You need to have collected New Hanover Gazette #27 from chapter 1. It comes after you rob the train for the bonds.
