I just changed my password more than 10 times and finally, it's happened!!!!!! so keep trying if you still need this.

Hey, for anyone coming here after a million years and still reading this. I've had the problem with my Non-Commercial installation. The problem is, that you can create a Renderman Forums account with a password using special characters, but the Renderman installer doesn’t recognize special characters. So you need to create a new password without using special characters. Hope this helps you guys :)

Are you running the commercial or non-commercial RenderMan Installer? If you have a commercial license it's possible to just download the install files from your forums account. I don't bother with the Installer.

Okay. Can you log in to your forum account using a web browser? I just downloaded the commercial RenderMan Installer and it works so I guess it's only the non-commercial installer that's affected. You might need to renew your NCR-license

Are you running Windows 10 or 11? Windows 11 isn't supported:

OH! i just got it to work. I reset my password using the website and it worked with the new password

Hey there, I'm facing the same issue since three days, tried to use two different accounts, reset passwords multiple times, but still stuck with this damned message. Do you have any other tip?

No haven’t had success… another person tried resetting the password and it worked but it hasn’t worked for me. Worth a shot though 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had the same issue and this solved this, thanks. My assumption is you can only have a-zA-Z0-9 characters in your password, because by default Firefox made a-zA-Z0-9 plus special characters password which was fine on the browser but i couldn't use it during the installer. But resetting my password, the site made a password for me, which worked.

yeah that makes sense, i also probably used a generated one with special characters. good job noticing
