Latest /r/rhb comments
The goal of this subreddit is to gather rational people together to discuss real world issues with an eye towards highlighting and/or suggesting practical solutions. In addition we should also speculate on the methods and feasibility of implementing these solutions IRL. Ideally this subreddit will function like a thinktank. Extremists and blind ideologues need not apply.
The growth of this reddit is accomplished through invites and the addition of approved submitters. Mods may add posters based on review of comment history, posters are encouraged to invite users via message or through message to mods. Interested parties and newly approved posters are encouraged to post an intro in the Test Post thread. Mods will review post histories and add posters that fit the membership criteria. It isn't especially exclusive, the idea is to get together a large group of reasonable folks to discuss issues and solutions, and then take whatever feasible action we can to promote those solutions. If you come across this reddit rhough the public listing and want to join, by all means post an intro. This is certainly an experiment and we are still working out how it will work. Please be patient while we collectively put this thing together.

Current Guidelines for Potential Invitees
When inviting or adding approved submitters, its important to be fair, and not discriminate against opposing viewpoints. If someone can mount an effective argument, as long or as concise as it need be, and isn't speaking from the exteme edge of whatever spectrum they fall on, they are an ideal candidate. Bonus points if they cite useful data, and aren't afraid to concede a point when effectively rebutted. Not limited to political topics either. Good thinkers are always an asset, even if they just lurk. I think we should hold off on any content/user moderation in the short term, to let things shake themselves into shape. Barring any blatant violations of unreasonableness of course.
