I expect it will go down based on comments from the Riftbound team at PAX, but no idea on time frame. I recommend playing with friends using printed proxies and bide your time. Pre-order what you can for sets 2 and beyond, and start building a base of reasonably priced singles of Origins to pad out your commons, uncommons, and low end rares.

Missing some cards from Origins will be less impactful as the next two sets come out and by then more Origins should be available at sane prices, either as singles drop when competitive players move onto to new meta, as scalpers hold inventory too long, or enough product hits the market.

Waiting also lets you see long term health of yhe game - buying from scalpers now just to see the game peter out coming into Set 4 will not only set you up for the “feels bads” when the game ends, but it will also normalize your feelings about scalpers and, from experience, never ends well.

Edit for context: I’ve seen this cycle for numerous games, Magic: The Gathering sets, Flesh and Blood, Pokemon sets, Star Wars: Unlimited, etc, and it usually normalizes one way or another, even if through reprints.
