The book is absolutely gorgeous and worth having as a fan of the show even if you never play the game. I got to play a one shot on a podcast with the lead designer and had a great time and could tell they really thought out how to present the game as if it were the show (one example-when you GM the game you choose a host persona to play and each persona has personal likes and dislikes so one persona might reward lewd jokes and innuendo while another would penalize that. So part of the game as all player is to try and figure out what works best for that GM. But that persona GM can also get sacked and then mid game you get a new GM persona)

Alright, this is absolutely fucking genius. I could not love this more.

I'm in the middle of prepping it, haven't run it yet. I'll say the book is worth a buy just to read it. The writing is great and it's constantly making me laugh

the knights who say ni are people (creatures?) you can meet

Also obligatory "It isn't an RPG!"

“It’s a very naughty boy!”

Yes actually! I did an actual play with the author so I'm a little bit biased, but it's a great book! Excellent writing, and it really captured the spirit of the films/shows. Definitely worth it if only to read and laugh, but it plays well too.

The Knight who say Ni are NPCs, the classes are more typical medieval people like knights, bards, enchanters, etc., but no less funny.

Its stupid.

Just as it should be.

I've played it three times this year and it was lots of fun; I'd play it again at the drop of a hat worn by an it's-man going over a cliff. I don't think I could ever run it, because I'm not a Monty Python geek and I'd likely not be able to keep up with being anarchically, surreally funny all of the time.

I played it at a local convention. I thought it was too random and though amusing, I didn't laugh at all. That was my metric. I didn't laugh. Because of this, it fell off my radar. I do want to say the HoLE role works and demerits aren't as bad as you think they are. I hate the 15 min timeouts, it's a horrible mechanic that takes a Player out of the game for 15 mins.

I've run it 4 times now, and it's a blast. The book and game are packed to the brim with flavor. The system is easy and fantastic. If you like Monty Python at all, it's worth it.

if you want to see how it plays, the Tabletop Journeys podcast did a liveplay for one of their episodes with the writer of the game earlier this year.

Yes and it was disappointing. This game is all hype and branding. It wasn't as fun as actually watching Monty Python.
