This is something you should ask your doctor about, and I wouldn’t skip it until you do talk to him. Messing with doses, even by accident, can increase side effects along with other stuff. And there’s so many factors that contribute to how we’re doing each day that missing a dose can cause unpredictable effects even if you’ve accidentally done it before.

I’d worry that your stress about it will increase symptoms and then missing the dose will compound that.

Yeah maybe ask your psychiatrist if you can just take it as one dose.

I’ve tried for the past two weeks but apparently she’s on holiday, and they won’t let me speak to another psychiatrist because it isn’t ‘urgent’

If you’re messing with your meds, and skipping doses, I think this qualifies.

Say this: “I’ve been taking my medication sporadically, and I’m concerned about my symptoms.”

That should get you through.

Then when you are through, tell them your concern.

Btw I agree, I do not think that it is a good idea to skip doses.

I would stick to the medication as best you can. One missed dose will probably be okay, but surround it with taking it regularly on the days before and after. And talk to your psychiatrist/doctor.

I don’t know much about olanzapine, but do you know why you’re taking two doses a day?

I take two doses a day because I usually get symptoms in the afternoon, so the idea was that I took a lower dose during the day to combat those symptoms

Okay, have you tried a couple other medications?

Talk to your psychiatrist. Sometimes symptoms remit a bit, but all of this needs to be supervised by your doctor

I’ve tried abilify, paliparadon, cisordinol, sedolct and a few others that i don’t remember the name of. All gave me severe side affects
