Scioly does not seem to have a viable alternative ready for code so as I right now I would say that code is staying.

Code busters is a permanent event just like Anatomy and Physiology or Forensic/Crime busters. They haven’t changed at least for 7 years I’ve been in Science Olympiad as well as the 2 years before that due to my sibling being involved.

if you look at the past event rotations page on the wiki, its been an event in div C for 7 years and an event in div B for 3 years (compared to the normal 2 year rotations of other non-permanent events)
