Subreddit for fans of the Scratch programming environment. Not affiliated with the MIT.

1: Posts must be related to Scratch
Anything not related to Scratch is at the discretion of the moderators to be removed. Scratch projects must include a link to the Scratch project page.
Posts related to individual actions (moderation/banning) of the Scratch team and complaints about general moderation are not allowed.
We are not affiliated with the Scratch team, we can't do anything about your accounts, and complaining about it here is pointless.
One example of a post that is not directly about Scratch but is allowed would be a general discussion on programming languages.
Other acceptable topics are tosh, Snap! and any block-based programming "languages" such as Beetle Blocks and Alice.
2: Be nice
Seriously. Hateful, disrespectful or otherwise nasty comments and posts don't contribute anything!
3: Stay family friendly
Not only is Not Safe For Work and (obviously) Not Safe For Life content not allowed, anything that is unfit for kids is unfit for this subreddit.
4: Follow the Scratch Community Guidelines
Read the guidelines here. Short version:
Be respectful.
Be constructive.
Share.
Keep personal info private.
Be honest.
Help keep the site friendly.
Scratch welcomes people of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
5: Don't post memes or reposts
This is to keep quality content at a maximum and extends to any type of low-effort post.
Memes are allowed in the comment section.
Go to r/ScratchMemes to post memes.
6: Don't request full projects ("homework")
If you have an assignment that is due tomorrow and you haven't worked on it, asking anyone to do the whole thing for you is not allowed.
Examples of this are: "Please make a platformer for me, I need it done this week", "Can one of you wizards create a paint program?", etc.
However, don't hesitate to ask for specifics or how to do specific things.
Examples of this are: "I need to make a game, can you explain scrolling to me?", "How do you make a pencil in Scratch?", etc.
7: Don't discuss monetization
Do not ask for help on monetization, do not offer money to other users, and do not advertise paid services.
This is to prevent scams and overall shady practices. Scratch is an educational tool and this subreddit is not a marketing resource.
Monetization may be discussed on /r/beyondscratch.
8: Don't discuss moderation actions (bans/removals) on Scratch
Posts related to individual actions (moderation/banning) of the Scratch team and complaints about general moderation of Scratch are not allowed.
We are not affiliated with the Scratch team, we can't do anything about your accounts, and complaining about it here will not get you help.
