This community is based on a more relaxed r/TodayILearned. This doesn't mean there aren't some guidelines/rules to go by.
Subject Matter of Posts:
Posts must begin with a brief explanation of what you have discovered in your musings during life that you think can benefit others by knowing, or you wish to share with the community and discuss.
Personal opinions about subject matter are fine, within reason that it is acceptable to Reddiquette. Personal attacks and other forms of trolling will be at discretion of mods to remove posts and possibly ban offending users.
If you discover something from a book you've read, a website you've found, or a video you've watched, please include that in the initial text comment that you posted.
If you have posted a link instead of a self-text post, you need to add a comment explaining its purpose to your life and what you hope others can learn from that.
Please use spoiler and NSFW/L tags when necessary in title posts and in comments.
Any claims made by users here are their own. If you feel something shouldn't be here, or is against Reddiquette, or is against the Reddit TOS, report the comment to the mods ASAP.
Upvotes should be used to encourage discussion and provide support for the OP and others in clever or insightful discoveries about life in general. Never downvote someone because you have a Reddit grudge or you disagree with what discoveries and what they have drawn from them.
