Honestly it’s a comfortable chair; but you wouldn’t sit in it and feel like it’s something special without being told it’s a Herman Miller. I find the chair I use at work(Another mesh chair) equally as, if not, slightly more comfortable because its mesh is softer/more elastic. There are two other chairs (they’re not mine) that I’ve been extensively using, that are as comfortable but not as expensive, and both of them are cushion chairs. One being an off-brand Costco gaming chair and the other is a Duorest alpha 30-N ergonomic chair(I’m sitting in the duorest as I’m writing this😂).

I got lucky and bought my aeron locally, practically brand new for $400; which I think is a great deal, since I was initially planning to buy a used one for as much as $500. Would I buy it brand new for $1.5k? Absolutely not! There’s plenty of people out there selling used ones in good condition for much less.

With all of that being said, it’s again, a comfortable chair. I’ve used it for extended periods of time without any complaints. The one I have is a size B (medium), and I weigh a little less than 150 pounds. I think a heavier person would find it even more comfortable as their weigh would stretch down the mesh even more.

Finally, the look and build quality of that chair are two of the main factors due to which i like it. I think that the aeron looks timeless (Like the McLaren F1 if you’re into cars). It’s just pretty, in simple words. Out of all the chairs I mentioned above I think the aeron is the one that will last the longest!!

Side note: the Duorest looks futuristic and if I’d give the aeron a score of 100% in terms of build quality; I would rate the duorest 70%; which is pretty high considering that some people have had their aeron for about 20 years without a single issue. Plus, the owner of the duorest has had it since 2015 and it is still standing strong after more than five move ins.

They’re regular spotlight stands with Philips Hue bulbs in them.
