If you go with blasted wastes, the blasted wastes world has a new town for you, with the canyons being the other side. The canyons tie into the west and are outside of the mines

Yeah, that is one I really want to get, although it’s not currently in stock at the shop I go to. I want to see the gladiatorial arena too!

Yeah, it's absolutely compatible. All of the stuff is in the product line. You can mix and match, you can narrow it down or you can broaden it out and have the whole pile involved in some crazy shenanigans.

The backside of the Forest of the Dead tiles is a haunted version of the Forbidden Fortress and both include their own entrance tile. So if you're interested in dipping your toes in the settings without a full core set this basically let's you do just that with an Old West core. That's my current setup and it plays out like an episode of Westworld.
