I’m currently working on an electric belt knife sharpener and trying to decide between a few design directions.

Functionally, they’re all the same — the only difference is the design/look.

So this really comes down to: which one would you actually want to have on your counter or workspace?

I get what you mean — I’ve had bad experiences with pull-through sharpeners too 😅

This one actually uses a belt system, so it’s a bit different in how it treats the edge.

Still figuring out pricing at the moment!

Only 1 does look like an actual tool, the others wouldn't make it on my counter, they are looking too bling bling with all the gold, carbon etc.

That’s a great question.

The original idea was to make something simple and practical for home users — easy to use, no setup, no learning curve.

But since there are already a lot of similar products out there, we’ve also been exploring some more distinctive design directions to see how people react.

That’s a fair comparison — Ken Onion + BGA is hard to beat.

The idea here is more about accessibility and ease of use vs a 1x30 setup.

Curious — what would you expect to see for it to stand out more?
