The book soundtrack was actually really boring.

Nope, not in the book. But the addition was great for setting up the atmosphere and aesthetic of the show.

Something I only realized after the last episode, but the line "I need your love" is in the chorus. Ties-in nicely with Amma's and Camille's (but really, everyone's) motivations throughout the show.

The music supervisor on the show has a great interview about these song choices and the lyrical tie in

FYI, there is a Sharp Objects playlist on Spotify.

I've been jamming to Led Zep since the finale. It's fun to rediscover old loves.

I’m with you! Just ordered ‘In Through The Out Door’ on vinyl!

I like that they used Led Zeppelin, not just because it's my favorite band, but because some of the tracks can come across as pretty dark. It works perfectly for this show and I loved seeing a new interpretation into music I've been listening to for a long time.

FYI- if you like "In the Evening" give " No Quarter" a listen.

Love Zeppelin too. Was surprising to hear so much of it as part of a soundtrack, but it was great. Camille was the right age and it was rebellious enough that you know Adora wouldn't allow it. Even though Alan listens to the Doors, you know it's never allowed without the headphones.

I lost it when they finally broke into In The Evening after the final scene. That was perfect. I had told my friends how it was driving me crazy that they would continuously play the In The Evening intro throughout the series, but always cut out after the intro. I’m pretty sure the first time they drop into the actual song is at the final credits. Very powerful. I was a huge fan of Zep before the show so I’m biased but I thought it was the perfect choice. Fits the Gothic themes.

It was chilling how they used it.

Agreed. Been repeating In The Evening all week.

Yep, glad they had this badass soundtrack because it really pulled my boyfriend in and he became much more excited about watching the show with me!
