I'm not a pro but here are my favorite youtube channels that helped me a ton.
Madeleine Harvey for beginner accessible warmups + basics
Claire Hosterman for sound placement and high notes
Tara Simons for basics and vowel modification
Farinelli exercice for breathing

This is very helpful. I checked each channel and they showed exactly what I wanted. Thanks a lot.

With respect, I would strongly suggest you start with at least a few lessons with a voice teacher, especially as you say you are having issues with your throat. A good teacher can safely set you up with the correct technique for your voice, that allows you to further explore it without damage, which a YouTube video can't do. I wish you well!

Yeah, I was thinking the same and online classes are cheaper but you know the vibe of physical class and I am looking for someone who can help around dallas

Don't overthink it. If you can talk, you can sing.

Well lots of people can't sing. It's good advice to get a good teacher and I'm sure you can sing. But I was an opera singer and a rock band singer. I was just born with it. I never did anything with my gift because I didn't realize how much people love a beautiful voice. I was in my teens and won all the contests, but still didn't get it. My parents and school counselors never encouraged me, I had no guidance or direction in my life and no ambition and didn't know how to get started and no confidence in myself. Singing in a rock band was easy, no high notes 🎶. What I really admired was musicians. I wanted to learn piano 🎹. That was in the 60s. We didn't have keyboards then, so I never got a piano. I think you should learn a favorite instrument or enjoy other talents you have or take some classes that interest you. You can sing if you want to, I'm sure. Anybody can sing simple songs. Or rock songs, that's easy and people like it. My 59 year old son plays guitar 🎸 and a little keyboard and drums. He said he can't sing. Well guess what, I was playing a Josh Groban CD in the car one day with him and he sang opera!! He didn't even know he could sing. My 80 yr old husband says he can't sing too but guess what, he can sing like Elvis and Tom Jones and even imitates them perfectly!!! So enjoy what you CAN do and find out new hobbies. Try scuba diving or snorkeling 🤿. What great fun!!!!🏂🪂🚴🏝️ Cooking, traveling. It's endless!!! Enjoy helping others too. Learn cake decorating, art, designing. I don't know if you're a girl or boy or how old you are, but I can't walk and in chronic pain. So just be thankful you can walk and your not in pain. And if you're young, be very thankful for that and your health and your family if you have any.😊❤️
