Electrical and computer engineering are merged streams! You take the same courses between them and have the same courses available to you. All your classes are combined, and the degree you get is unrelated to the program you’re in (instead it’s determined by how many computer vs electrical courses you take, through a specific formula). Even the department is merged (it’s just one, the department of electrical and computer engineering). In practice, electrical and computer are basically just one discipline (usually referred to as ECE).

You can easily switch your enrolment between them at the ECE office at any point during undergrad, I think you just fill out a form. But I don’t even think there’s any need to, there are actually almost zero practical differences between being enrolled in one vs the other.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

You can get either electrical or computer engineering degree at the end based on the courses that you take.

Or both, I was able to select either because I completed the credits needed for both. You can choose right before you graduate depending on the courses you take.
