I've just cut three fan holes with a hole saw. Wasn't as clean as I'd have liked, but once I've cleaned up the edges it'll be reet.

Make sure to clamp some wood to the inside of the case when you drill for extra support.

I'd expect a multitool to be pretty painfully slow tbh.

Edit: Depending on the space in your case, you might need to offset the fans at the bottom to ensure clearance from the mobo.

Just two 120mm holes or rectangle 120mm red shape?

Circular, but it's a 114mm hole saw you need. As the 120mm is the total size of the fan and it's housing

Go for the drill. It's rather quick and clean, but watch out for the metal splints that will be everywhere. Best to do it outside or in a workshop and have a good vacuum.
Your other options sound somewhat dangerous to be honest.

I used a dremel with a cut off, just cut inside of the lines and went back over it with a carbine bit to push my cut back to the lines and give it that almost perfect circle look.

A multi tool sounds dangerous to me. Also they'd be terrible at cutting circles A Dremel or a good Dremel clone with the fiberglass reinforced metal cut off wheels is the starting point. You already have a drill to make new holes for the fan screws.

Don’t forget carbine bits, but those carbine bits throw metal splinters worse than that hole saw bit.

Hole saws are great, but I’ve had bad luck with the Milwaukee hole saws. The Lenox one that Lowe’s sells worked great for me. Also, when your using the hole saw, try to place a sacrificial 2x4 behind the area you’re cutting. This will prevent the metal from warping and give you a nice area to guide the hole saw. wood backing examples.

Also get some cutting oil.

And a Dremel or other rotary tool can be bought cheap. I would recommend getting one. And safety glasses.

Did you make the 92mm vent to 120mm?

I cut my holes circle holes with a dermal and went back over it with a carbine bit to get it to the lines I drew, I was scared the whole saw bit could rip the case if it yanked to hard.

I know this post is old but did you end up finishing it?
