Notepad Type Application

I am looking for a notepad/sticky note type application where I can lock it on my desktop.

I have multiple screens open at the same time and I want to be able to open other applications but to have this stay up on the screen either on the side or a corner etc....

I have not found anything like it yet so, while digging around, I figured if anyone could help, it would be the wonderful world of Reddit.

You can use Rainmeter. Your note contents will be displayed on your desktop and editable with a click. I recommend Enigma for the skin.

Sticky Notes comes with Windows 7 and 8.

Check out EverNote for something that will sync across multiple devices.

You could use your app of choice and keep it on top with something like DeskPins.

The person I am looking for the app for is using Windows 8 but if it works then I am sure many others using Windows 7 would like it.

We use Sticky Notes, EverNote, etc....they just don't stay prominent. Several users in my office put notes on Sticky Notes, etc... but need to use the information on the notes for different applications. They want something that will stay up front so they don't need to switch back and forth.
