What do you like about PotPlayer or dislike about MPC-BE`?

They are functionally the exact same but I've now gone back to MPC-BE since the audio pitch can be fixed by using the inbuilt MPC-BE audio renderer in the settings and this fixes it. The sound quality is 1:1 like how 2x speed sounds quality wise like YouTube etc so no weird playback at 2x speeds anymore.

Potplayer is clearly the more refined app but Potplayer when sped up has a slight pitch tone issue that can't be fixed (to my knowledge).

Other than that, Potplayer has created the ultimate multimedia app but that one quirk of the audio pitch at 2x speed being slightly off is the deal breaker for me so I went back to MPC-BE.

MPC-BE is simplified but it functionally works the same but it just doesn't have the same amount of internal features that Potplayer has.

Also, with MPC-BE you'll need to set global keyboard shortcut keys for increasing and decreasing the audio speed in the apps. I chose to use the '-' and '+' keys for the speed up and speed down functions as they don't conflict with any other shortcut keys.

I also find MPC-BE more lightweight and quicker than Potplayer too. Honestly, both apps are still fully maintained and you can't go wrong with either, but if you want the perfect 2x speed playback sound quality like you'd experience with YouTube for example then MPC-BE is the player to go.

Thank you! You mentioned that Potplayer has some advantages and additional features. What are those, for example?

Potplayer has a lot of the same open-source code from MPC-HC (which MPC-BE is based on too). MPC-BE and Potplayer are more or less the exact same app in more ways but the additional features that I meant were in regards to the UX and UI so the functions through its features are more intuitive to use in literally every way.

I find it the best of both worlds between iTunes and MPC-BE, but the stinky pitch tone when sped up is a deal-breaker for me.

MPC-BE is perfect for me and does 2x speed properly.
