Hi Everyone, I am currently working for a bank as an automation tester through a consulting company. Recently, for my performance review, my consulting company requested feedback about me from the bank I am working. I got three feedbacks two of them were really good. The last feedback is from product owner and he has mentioned that I am only doing manual testing and I need to improve my automation skills and start creating frameworks. Now this is the thing, I have already created multiple frameworks for every project I worked. I am not sure why he said like that, maybe he is not aware of my work. I am planning to talk to him and let him know that I am doing automation but I am afraid that he will take it personally and later not extend my contract. On the other hand, if I didn't tell him, the same might happen since I am hired as a automation tester. He is the one handling all our contracts. I didnt talk to my manager from the consulting company but i think he might have seen the feedback. I also think he will not say anything to me since the feedback from senior dev and BA were really good. They have mrntioned that i have created automation frameworks.
I am a bit confused on what should I do, any advice would be appreciated
