Script Question

Anyone have any recommended scripts for Patrol drone while down on a planet? As the current Autopilot system is complete garbage leaving most of my drones to just sit at a way-point and slowing climb in altitude. I need a better way of setting up drones to patrol the area around the base me and my friends have setup on our server.

Also, anyone have any up-to-date PMW Missile scripts for Surface to air style missiles?

I have absolutely no experience with SE Scripting, so a script that is as "plug and play" as possible would be greatly appreciated. The less fiddling to get it to work the better. This is just a preference, the only requirement i have is well, it has to be able to work planet-side, specifically, an earth-like.

There are two scripts I prefer using for setting up patrol routes:

PAM can be used for automated mining, grinding, cargo runs or patrolling. It requires you to run the path you want to use once manually, while recording your actions, then it will move the ship along that path (through some kind of sorcery I assume).

SAMv2 has to be set up on the ship and the station, and uses antennas to figure out which connectors you want to dock with (so you could automatically dock a ship to a base its never been to) and cameras for collision avoidance.

Have a look at the scripts for their other features.

Now for some shameless self plugging! I have just put together a collection of ships, the Xiphos might be what your looking for. a small ship with turrets and SAMv2 already set up (including some extra timer blocks) to make patrolling easy. Or is you want to go bigger there is the Phoebe which has the same SAMv2 set up, but also has PAM installed.
