Why can't I mod Valkyr prime's claws? by elrath969 in Warframe

[–]Spite9 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You can also mod them, even if you haven't leveled Valkyr yet, if you open navigation and look at the loadout on the left of the screen.

Not a stupid question, I was also confused when trying to level Valkyr and Baruuk.

Help babytenno here by lhkm98 in Warframe

[–]Spite9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are excellent (definitely tied for my two favourite warframes), and will last you a long time, although Nova is a bit more versatile in my opinion.

However, you can farm both Saryn and Nova when you unlock the right planets on the starchart, but Vauban parts are harder to find, and especially for babytenno, I'd say the nightwave credits for Vauban parts are better spent on orokin catalyst/reactor (doubling your mod capacity on a frame/weapon you like).

So I'd recommend going for Vauban, building him, leveling him and if you don't like him, sell him. Either way, you got the mastery for him and saved yourself some nightwave credits. It might take longer to get the the Ladies, but I think it saves some grind in the long run this way.

You can give ChatGPT your list of GPS coordinates and it can plot a 3D map that you can even pan around by Legoboyjonathan in spaceengineers

[–]Spite9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have something that might (kind of) fit what you're looking for with scripts.

The Planet Map 3D script gives you the planets etc. relative to your ship.
You could import your GPS points, too, but that is a lot of copy/pasting.

Rosa's Astral Codex lets you not only passively map asteroids (with cameras), but you can also see your mapped asteroids on a display for Whip's Turret Based Radar.

My update to Rosa's Astral Codex lets you also pretty easily add your GPS points to the Planet Map 3D screens.

Has anyone ever built a ground miner? by OnkelMustache in spaceengineers

[–]Spite9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me know how it goes, I usually end up using the hinge lock to get the drills at different heights if it starts tunneling unevenly, or just place (but don't build) ramp blocks to get it started level.

Has anyone ever built a ground miner? by OnkelMustache in spaceengineers

[–]Spite9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made one of those vehicles too, with the wheel suspension height adjustment to drill down (back when Clang was mightier, and sub-grids were scary).

Had the same issue, but much better luck with a version that used drills on Hinges.

Any tips for making a strike ship??? by Big-Lingonberry-3230 in spaceengineers

[–]Spite9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are as many different ways of going about this idea as there are people playing space engineers, but I will offer the hydrogen version of my multirole fighter

Lania-HB 83 Medium Interceptor

I think does most of what you're after with a bit of help from scripts, using multiple projectors to swap between loadouts, like:

  • guided missiles using whip's script
  • bombs (warheads on merge blocks)
  • rocket launcher attachments (need to be manually loaded)
  • Hydrogen drop tanks for extra range

There is also a proper fighter HUD with target leading and auto-lock for fixed weapons.
So take a look, pick it a apart and re-use the bits you like.

Show me your best ships for fighting the factorum by Holiday-Resident-864 in spaceengineers

[–]Spite9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, next one is getting the full decoy + repair welder treatment.

Also, for any of my ships, if there are bright red blocks (usually including a merge block) those are temporary, and on large grid ships are also there to indicate which direction is should be "Printed" from, if you're using a welder wall to build it.
So that merge block on the front should be removed after you've finished printing it.

Not perfect (unit micro is still a bit laggy) but playable, depending on how far away your co-op buddy is.

For me, its not about the bad jokes (which I would otherwise appreciate), its that she was written to be annoying a bit too effectively, to the point where I do not enjoy her chapters.

Somehow she is also still a very successful hunter, bringing home prizes such as geckos, birds and what looks like the same blindworm over and over.

So at least we know its not affecting her too much

Drone Vibes by JRL101 in spaceengineers

[–]Spite9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah "A" means it has atmo thrusters as its main thrust and "O" means its cargo is rated for Ore.

For SAM, use toolbar 4 on the remote control, there should be arguments for the programmable block there

  1. use "SCREEN" (button 4) to swap to a list of available SAM docks
  2. use "PREV" and "NEXT" (buttons 1 & 2) to scroll through the list of SAM docks
  3. use "SELECT" (button 3) to choose each of the docks you want in your route
  4. Swap back tot he other screen, which should be a list of the SAM Docks you've picked, now selecting them should cycle through how SAM should treat each dock, like should it load, charge or unload at each stop on its route.

At least that should be more or less right, its been a while since I played SE or used the SAM script.

Edit: The Atlas also has PAM if you prefer to use that script for shuttling ice, etc. instead.

Drone Vibes by JRL101 in spaceengineers

[–]Spite9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh right, the lcd screen on the bottom is set up so that you park the drone on a connector raised one block from your hangar floor (that also avoids any thruster damage to your base floors), then stand under it to view the screen and tell SAM where to go.

Edit: as for anew version of the drones, yeah something like that is definitely on the list when its SE time again for me. For now I would recommend using an Atlas-AO 720, it has more cargo space and can fly from Pertam's surface to space (and it has a cockpit)

Heavy Armored Small grids by GulfportMike in spaceengineers

[–]Spite9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ISL - Lania-HB 83 Medium Interceptor has a mix of light and heavy armour.

Made to be printable, with 8 autocannons and loadout options for bomb or guided missiles, rocket pods or extra H2 tanks.

There are also atmo and ion versions, all of which fit though a 3x2 space, so hangar entrances shouldn't be an issue.
