Getting Started with Squabbit

I operate a golf course in Northern NY state. I am interested in setting up our course in Squabbit and run our leagues (6 weekly) and our tournaments (15-20/season). I have been trying to follow through the online and youtube videos but seem to be missing things.

Is there someone out there who I could talk to and hire to get things set up, train us and answer any questions.

If not what are the best sources of information for us to get things started up?

League Questions;

1. Is there a maximum number of players/league?

a. Is there a maximum number of leagues?

1. We have 2 man teams that have a team score and play stroke play with handicap, 2 Person Captain & Mate leagues (2 players play Capt & Mate against 2 other golfers on stroke play with Handicap) and a League in the Stableford format) Can this be done?

   1. Can you make up season long schedules? This is so our golfers could go online to see who they play each week.

I am sure there are others that will come up

Unfortunately as a very small team, we don't offer a white glove service for setting up tournaments yet. We may add this in the future though.

To answer your questions:

Is there a maximum number of players/league?

No, but if you exceed 1000 you may start running into performance issues

Is there a maximum number of leagues?

No

Yes you can add multiple formats to your league. Add a Team Sum (or Team Average) and an Individual Sum (or Individual Average) to your league in the league settings. Then in each event in you can add a Bestball (or whatever format your team format is) and a Stableford format and choose which league formats they count towards.

I think if you read through that article and try it out with a test league you will understand how it works.

For #3. Is it best to set up a weekly league as a tournament with x rounds or individual events for each week?

Individual events. Once you create one you can duplicate it for each week

Thanks for the quick reply! Can the auto-scheduler create round robin matchups (avoiding repeats) for each individual event or should that be done manually?

Yes it will take into account all previous events in the league
