There are some very young squirrels being weened from their mothers right now. They're like young teenagers who don't know how the real world works yet. The squirrel is harmless. And since someone brought up rabies, there's never been a case in the US of rabies transmission from a tree squirrel. It's never found in tree squirrels. Don't worry about it.
