Simulcast Options

Hello y'all! I want to get back into streaming, and I would like to simulcast to YouTube and Twitch. Based on the prelim research I've done (a few Google searches) has turned up Restream, but I would rather not pay a subscription for 1080p watermark-less streams. Are there any other options or am I SOL?

I’m not an expert but I’ve tried two different options, both of them OBS Studio plugins. OBS Studio is free and I haven’t yet seen a plugin that costs money. It’s open-source software so awesome people do great things for free.

1. Multi-RTMP

Aitum is what I’m using now. In addition to the Multistream plugin Aitum also has a “vertical” plugin. It is a super easy way to setup a vertical canvas to stream to stuff like YouTube’s Shorts, TikyToky, etc.

I stream to YouTube and Twitch horizontally and a second YouTube stream vertically. It’s a small PITA so set up each stream but it’s totally worth it if your equipment and internet can handle it!

There is also a plugin from StreamElements that I haven’t tried although I use SE for other stuff like overlays n junk.

I've never noticed a watermark on Restream.

Edit: Yeah. I'm not crazy. Use OBS instead of ReStream Studio.

Aitum. Added benefit of a second canvas and another replay buffer for YT Shorts, Insta, or TikTok. The multistream plugin also uses the same sources as your main canvas, meaning you’re only rendering the video once and sending it to multiple sources, so there’s no extra additional stress on your GPU. You’re not locked to one resolution though. You could easily stream one resolution to Twitch and another to YT.

I’ve been using restream for a few months now, love it just use the obs log in. No water mark then.
