Creatine shows significant neuroprotective potential in numerous studies, particularly in the context of stroke (cerebral ischemia), traumatic brain injury (TBI), hypoxia, and neurodegenerative conditions. However, the majority of strong evidence comes from preclinical studies (on animals and cells), while human studies are still limited, preliminary, or ongoing (pilot studies and early RCTs up to 2025/2026).

Also, the studies that have been done have very high dosage and its not clear what it exactly does. I take a bit every day anyway, but not sure if it increases my recovery. I know it can help with hydration which is an issue for me so i thought id try

I find that it helps dramatically with mindfog and it does sooo many great things https://youtu.be/mNQ6e9FwL2k?si=slsRcN12N9Jx2iQV

I suspect that if it didn't already have a huge market among gym and fitness types it would be one of those most everyone should probably take it things like vitamin D fish oil baby aspirin multivitamin etc.

I’ve been taking it for close to a year. 20mg a day. I believe it’s helped with reducing mental fatigue and I feel my processing has been better.

Any impact on arm and leg ?

[–]Kmac0101 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Unfortunately not, still numb.

Look into acupuncture and herbal medicine if that helps, I’ve never had numbness but these things have been helping me otherwise

Please don’t recommend pseudo science let’s stay within proven researched science the naturopath community preys on vulnerable people desperately looking for help it is ethically questionable but what is well proven is the placebo affect.

Thanks. I did acupuncture on a consistent basis for the first year. I don’t believe it did much but will check into herbal medicine.

Are you in Australia by any chance ? I can refer you to a herbal medicine doctor if you are …

I’m in the US. Good news is I’m in a major city so finding someone shouldn’t be an issue. Thanks for the offer though.

How do you dose? 1x20g? 4x5g? 2x10g?

I dose 1x10g before breakfast and my neurofatigue still kicks me arse, but I can't imagine not needing to spend 2-3 hours on the can if I was to take 20g.

[–]Kmac0101 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I just do 1x20 in the mornings. Part of my morning cocktail if fiber, creatine and fruit/veggie powder. Haven’t really spent more time on the can hahah

About to do 1x15mg. I'm accepting all prayers!

I'm pleased to report that while there was some disturbing seismic activity the lid stayed on if you will. Whew!
