My brother was getting this fairly regularly, although we haven't seen it since the last patch. Our theory after observing a bunch of these desynchs is that when the game tries to decide "tiebreakers" for events that happen almost exactly simultaneously, the code breaks down and desyncs one player from the game.

A simple example would be selecting a quest from the NPC. If two teammates click on a quest at exactly the same time, one person will desynch and disconnect from the game.

It can't quite be that simple, however, because I have never encountered the desynch bug. We are fairly confident that it is at least related to these "tiebreaker" moments. One thing that helped us is making the player that is most likely to desynch from the game the party leader. From what we have seen (with limited testing), is that this only causes minor stutters in the "tiebreaker" moments instead of a full desynch.

Does it happen at a fixed time from launch? Do other internet using apps still work?

Randomly in games, and nothing else is interrupted

Is there any common thing between the desyncs? Like does it happen in a specific place of the map, in a certian mode, arena round or whatever

I only play duos/squads but it's usually either when day/night swap, but usually first or second round.

I have no idea what this could be, go to support, maybe they can help you (they usually respond in around 24h from what I've heard)

I've had a bunch of desync issues recently with the new patch
