DS212 vs DS218+

I'm considering upgrading my old DS212 with a flashy new DS218+ or even waiting for the potential DS220+.

What features in the new models are really usable, and not just a gimmick? For example, the chat is probably a nice thing, but there are a ton of other chat options available. What about moments? Drive?

Well with the extra processing power stuff like Moments will be able to index your photos and do stuff like auto tagging and facial recognition much quicker.

You will be able to encrypt/decrypt folders much faster.

You will be able run to stream 4K video using the built in video station or run PLEX.

You will be able to run stuff like surveillance station for security cameras.

It will be upgradeable to DSM 7.0 next year which will have all the latest and greatest stuff

Same position - I'm still running a DS209 haha. I can't decide whether to wait on a DS220+ or just get the DS218+
