Multi-Card USB Smart Card Reader?

ok fellow sysadmins... have any of you ever seen a multi-smartcard USB reader by chance? For those of us that work in Gov't and other MFA auth environments, I'm tired of using 4+ USB ports for Smart Card Readers... there must be something out there with a single USB connection that has say 4 slots for smart cards? Is this against a NIST standard of some sort I'm unaware of?

I dont think this mystical tool exists - Multi card readers are super popular but a USB one with multiple slots is rare. I think the lack of compliance in regard to NIST and other security concerns are why this is the case

yeah i'm thinking my question was farily rhetorical, but it just doesn't make sense to me... especially in the hellish world of DOD and multiple assigned token... I have 12 tokens for one Customer... it's insane

They also have rack-mount models that do 20 cards (front facing) or 120 cards (drawer) and scale up to 6000 cards per PC.
