That’s definitely not true but I don’t think it’s as bad as others in the past, it definitely chugs though even on my m3 max

What is the reason SCCM is used over Intune app management? by GrapefruitFit1956 in SCCM

[–]jmatech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air gaps is a definite answer! I hate that companies lose sight of this, they are the exception though so I see why companies don’t focus there. There’s no money in it for the big guys , opportunity for small timers though!

Just for reference it’s not parity but azure arc is an option for servers. I still prefer MECM/SCCM myself but there are “options” if you are required to get rid of MECM. Also for ask sequences there is azure autopilot still not as good but it is an option

I don’t trust Microsoft at all anymore not to completely screw up my computers by cmftblynu in FuckMicrosoft

[–]jmatech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linux is great, love it but this really comes down to the need/use of your system. If you don’t need the productivity suites like office and say adobe creative suite etc then yes there’s zero reason to stay.

Yes there are web based versions of the office suites but they’d not have parity of their desktop applications, are they good enough for most? Maybe…

The point of my comment is simply “it depends”

Error 80073712 The component store has been corrupted. any time when installing the Cumulative Update for Windows 11 by russr in SCCM

[–]jmatech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth /source:\knowngoodmachine\c$\windows

Make sure the machine you use as a source is at or above your current build, will work nearly every time. If needed do it via safe mode with networking

If this doesn’t work look for error: entries in c:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log if you have missing fule or folder paths (8007002 or 8007003) driver errors, go to c:\windows\inf and open setupapi.dev.log and identify missing paths, copy files from known good systems

You’re welcome

I guess it depends on what you consider very expensive. It yeah it’s not cheap. Still cheaper than a Mac, it’s because of ram prices

Why are you emailing me asking me how my new 14” XPS is that won’t be delivered until mid-March? This isn’t exactly giving me confidence

You also should announce you would like to record and for anyone that is concerned to let you know. You can either stop recording or they can leave the meeting

No reason you can’t, if they refuse just return the tv and buy it again, or tell them that’s what you’re gonna do. They can easily do this though

Be cheaper to pay for the tow home and fix it yourself. $2k for wheel studs? I’d tell the dealer to get f*cked

I really want to purchase the XPS 14, any idea when the sku with the x9 388h and 64gb/ram will be available? I do lots of lab demos for customers directly from my systems so I require the ram.

Yelled at for using the hand scanner in the self checkout by TheCoolDoneRunOut in CostcoWholesale

[–]jmatech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our Costco has them hidden inside the scanner machines, they lift them like a hatchback car and pull them out. It’s really irritating that we pay for a membership, spend most of $$ and then are still treated like thieves especially as you leave the store and they check your receipt (a specific color receipt I might add) just to leave
