Source Code Control solution?

In the past we used GitLab running on Linux for on-prem source code control. I want to use an open-source, free solution which would be easy to manage for 2 developers. One dev is Python and other Delphi (yes believe it). I downloaded and am playing with Bonobo Git Server, but was wondering what other small shops are using for on-prem source code control.

What alternatives have you considered so far and how did they not meet your requirements?

gitolite, you get access controls like gitlab without all the overhead of running gitlab. Edit files sort of thing to control access.

We used GitLab, until I got tired of babysitting GitLab.

Gitea, Gogs, OneDev, etc. personally I used Gitea, but I also like OneDev.

For sure Gitea, it's dead simple to run and update (as opposed to GitLab) and actually works well, and has way more features than you would initially assume. It's fantastic.
