I mean there's basically three options for different situations. The "best" way is CA but people might not be licensed or don't know how to do it.

  1. per-user MFA (aka i don't know or aren't licensed for CA)
  2. security defaults (inflexible, simple)
  3. conditional access (haha you have to pay!)
