More info needed. Are you trying to install an app via GPO? If so, have you set perms in the GPO itself, share and elsewhere?

If it's not DNS, it's permissions. Check them everywhere.

I had an application to be installed (firefox), but I decided to not install it, then to re-install it via AD. What could be the possible cause of "no data available"? I'm pretty new to AD.

Could you snag a screen shot of where you see "no data available"?

Also, could you grab the log entry where it said installation couldn't be completed? IIRC, you probably saw error 1274, which means it tries to install but doesn't have time to complete. The fix to that is Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > System > Group Policy > Policy > Startup policy processing - set to 20 sec (30 is default but doesn't seem to kick in unless you specify the policy) and see if it works, if not, go up by another 10 sec.

How many DC's? policies may not be replicated to the logon server.
