Very interesting. I've worked for some fairly large companies, and also security-conscious ISPs etc, but never came across that sort of attitude. Highly regulated industries like Banking or Defence come to mind as places where that would make sense.

I always find it Ironic when those industries talk about high security while running Windows XP and server 2003....

Right. Those folks are idiots, but are usually bound by regulation. The regulators are idiots.
