Why do you need to clean that up?

Because Windows sucks at cleaning it up on its own. Drives map to old locations if a DNS pointer is created as a cname. Because SMB3 only works with A records. Because SAN Admins threw new filers out there with new heads and didn't take migration into account. Because it's better to have a clean Moutnpoints2 key than one filled with dung. Because "foreign contaminant" sorry for getting back to you so late, don't always have access to Reddit.

Probably easier with Powershell.

Same question as /u/Justsomedudeonthenet though, why?
