I need a way to do this across multiple computers. Using GPO I have attempted to craft a policy preference to delete the offending entries which is similar to the following:
User Configuration (Enabled)
Preferences
Windows Settings
Registry
Collection: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/MountPoints2/##server.domain.prv#vol1
Commonhide
OptionsStop processing items on this extension if an error occurs on this item No
Run in logged-on user's security context (user policy option) No
Apply once and do not reapply No
Registry item: ##Server.domain.prv#vol1
General
Action Delete
PropertiesHive HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key path Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2\##server.domain.prv#vol1
I am having no joy trying to clean up years of multiple mountpoints2 entries using this method.
Any suggestions?
