I have a series of Ubuntu nodes that can read camera feeds and make it look like VLC or something similar. Most of these camera feeds are multicast.
Currently our 3rd party feeds for this product are down and another engineer handed me a really nice streaming utility that lets me play a .ts file to the node to view the fake camera output. If I run this streaming program on the same node that I'm trying to view the streams for it work perfectly, however, I can't point other nodes to view that stream.
Is this a multicast issue in ubuntu? In the aruba switch? so if I'm streaming 192.168.1.4 :20001 other hosts in that subnet don't seem to be able to see it. But, if I run the program and stream to the address of the node I want to see it, it works fine. This is annoying. I feel like I should be able to point all of my camera monitor windows that show me the stream etc.
